11-DAYS TRIP (TALLINN, VILJANDI, TARTU, OTEPÄÄ, SANGASTE, SIGULDA, RIGA, RUNDALE, SHAULIAI, PALANGA, KLAIPEDA, KAUNAS, TRAKAI, VILNIUS)


We invite You to take part in a trip which will show You the many-sided Baltic States. The trip begins in Tallinn and will lead us through all three Baltic States to the final point of the route,  the city of Vilnius. There will be no lack of fine sceneries, fortresses and castles during all our trip. Estonia will admire You with the magnificent landscapes (Southern Estonia: Otepää, Sangaste) and medieval cities (Tallinn, Tartu, Viljandi). Numerous exciting sights of Riga, certainly, will not leave You indifferent. Rundale palace, a real treasure of the baroque style, will delight You with the pomp of its halls. Landscapes of Lithuania will please You with their variety. You will discover everything there: fine lakes, picturesque hills, untouched woods, sandy beaches and dunes. Shauliai, Klaipeda, Kaunas and Vilnius will acquaint You with the history and culture of this country.

Day 1
Arrival in Tallinn. Meeting at the airport with our English-speaking guide. Sightseeing tour around the city: medieval walls and towers of the Old Town, Kadriorg (Catherine's Palace), the Song Festivals Arena, a monument "Mermaid", the Tallinn port, Olympic center "Pirita", the television tower, National library and art gallery and so on. Lunch / Dinner. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2
Tallinn. Discovering the Old Town: fascinating narrow streets, walls and towers of medieval Tallinn ("Long Hermann" and "Thick Margarita"), viewing platforms, the Parliament Building, Aleksander Nevsky Cathedral, the Dome Church. Visiting of the Sacred Olav's or Sacred Nicolay's churches. Lunch. According to Your wish excursion to either the open-air ethnographical museum "Rocca-al-Mare" or the Art museum, situated in  Kadriorg (Catherine's Palace).

Day 3
In the morning leaving Tallinn for Viljandi. Walk in the town center, surveying the ruins of the old medieval fortress. Departure to Tartu. On arrival accommodation in the hotel. Lunch. Sightseeing tour in the old university city: the Town Hall Square, Tartu University, Toome hill and ruins of Dome Cathedral. In the evening supper at the national kitchen restaurant "Gunpowder Cellar" (additional fee).  

Day 4
Leaving Tartu for Otepää. Enjoying the picturesque sceneriess of this small town and its surroundings. Excursion and lunch in the Sangaste mansion. Departure to Riga. On the way to Riga excursion in Sigulda: ruins of Sigulda Castle, visiting Turaida Castle and park, Gutman's cave. Arrival in Riga, accommodation in the hotel.

Day 5

Riga. Walking tour in the Old City: the Dome cathedral, buildings of the Big and Small guild, the House of Black-headed, St. Peter's church, St. Jacob's church, the Powder tower, Medieval apartment houses "Three brother". Lunch. Getting acquainted with Riga’s decorative Nouveua Art architecture, walking along the Albert street. Leisure time at the restaurant  and entertainment centre "LIDO ".



Day 6
Leaving Riga for Rundale. Excursion in Rundale Palace. Entering Lithuania. Stop at the Mountain of Crosses near Shauliai. Short walking tour  and lunch in Shauliai. Departure to Palanga - Lithuania's premier and most universal resort. Arrival and accommodation in the hotel.

Day 7
Excursion to the Curonian Spit - sand spit which encloses Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic. Enjoying one of the most beautiful and unique landscapes of Europe: Nida  and Juodkrante  resorts, towering dunes, Witches' Hill, fishermen's houses. Visiting the Maritime museum and the Aquarium.

Day 8
Excursion to the Museum of amber, where You will see a unique collection of natural amber and amber artifacts. Departure to Klaipeda. Walking tour in the city center, which has an eclectic mixture of buildings in various styles, including the old City Hall, the neo-gothic Post Office, the former Louise Gymnasium etc. Lunch. Departure to Kaunas. Arrival, accommodation in the hotel.

Day 9

Kaunas. Walking tour in the picturesque Old Town: ruins of the Kaunas’ fortress, the Town Hall square, Vitautas Church, the main pedestrian street Laisves Aleja. Visiting the museum of Devils, the only one of this type in the world, or Ciurlionis Art museum. Lunch. Leaving for Trakai - a town on a water, the ancient capital of Lithuania. Survey of  Trakai island fortress. Departure to Vilnius. Arrival and accommodation in the hotel.


Day 10

Vilnius. Sightseeing tour in the centre of the city: Medeninku Gates of the defense wall, the City Hall, St. Anna's church, Peter and Paul's Cathedral, the University, Gediminas Castle and the Cathedral Square. Lunch. Visit to one of the biggest shopping centres in the Baltics. Leisure time.


Day 11
Vilnius. Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport.
